Question 1

What if I hate being photographed?

Accepted Answer

Then you're exactly the kind of person this process was designed for. Most clients say they're not photogenic, they freeze up, or they've never had a photo they actually like. The entire process is built for people who aren't naturally comfortable in front of a camera. You don't need to be good at this — that's Jason's job.

Question 2

Do you approach photographing men and women differently?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but not for the reasons people assume. Over 80% of the impression someone forms comes from two cues: warmth and competence. Women tend to arrive over-cooking warmth or over-correcting with forced power poses — the work is dialling out performance. Men tend to arrive under-cooked, trained to pretend appearance doesn't matter — the work is holding space where caring about how they show up isn't awkward. Both are equally capable of brilliant portraits.

Question 3

Is this just a photoshoot?

Accepted Answer

No, not like anything you've done before. Photography is the output, not the work. The work is a guided process that removes performance pressure and allows the right images to emerge.

Question 4

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Individual Headshot Sessions start at $850 and Signature Sessions start at $3,500. There is also corporate and team packages and pricing available. All details are covered on a call once we understand what you need.

Question 5

What makes this different from other professional photography?

Accepted Answer

Most photography focuses on how you look. This process focuses on whether your felt presence is recognisable and coherent when it matters.

Question 6

How do you make portraits that actually hold people's attention?

Accepted Answer

Your audience is the end user of the image, not you. Instead of manufacturing an expression you want to say, the process creates an experience that gives your audience something to engage with. Humans are wired to read nuance, intention and presence. A generic smile is quickly ignored. When someone pauses a fraction of a second longer, something has landed. That pause is everything.

Question 7

What's your process?

Accepted Answer

This is a layering process using the A.C.E. Framework. ANGLE: finding the right posture, position and angles. CONNECTION: reaching through the camera so anyone viewing feels a direct personal connection. EXPRESSION: layering in meaning and intention. The camera is tethered to a full screen so we see every shot as it happens — no mystery, no guessing, no hoping.

Question 8

Do I need to know what I want before I start?

Accepted Answer

No. Clarity is something we discover together, not something you're expected to bring.

Question 9

How do you create a sense of real connection in all your images?

Accepted Answer

Connection is a felt experience beyond eye contact. The process works intentionally with gaze, distance, angle and presence so the person viewing the image feels like they're having a personal encounter, not just looking at a photograph. When it works, the image doesn't feel observed — it feels met.

Question 10

What's it like to work with you?

Accepted Answer

The words that come up most often are relaxed, surprising, fun — and then, surprisingly, profound. The craft is serious. The room isn't. Most clients have had professional photos taken before. This is different.
