Epic Assisting...

Last week I was lucky enough to spend 4 days assisting the biggest campaign I've been a part of to date.  It was all run by a great crew from The Kitchen Creative headed by photographer Michael Corridore.

After the first few shots were locked in and I and the other assistants had established a pretty good flow, I asked if  I could shoot some production stills (aka 'behind the scenes').  I got the green light... so whenever there was a unique moment that matched up with the few times my hands weren't busy, I grabbed a few frames.

It was an amazing experience and I learned tons in those 4 days.   There was a level of professionalism that I really hope starts to infiltrate Brisbane.  The other assistants were truly masters of the craft (as well as skilled photographers in their own right).  And I was especially lucky to be teamed up with a crew who freely shared their knowledge.
